Danica Wolf, MSW –
Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator
Danica has been working with women’s health and safety since 2005, serving as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking in Columbia and on the University of Missouri campus for 13 years. After giving birth to her first child, Danica became a Nona-trained birth doula and subsequently co-founded Harmony Birth Services of Missouri. As a birth doula, Danica specializes in working with birthing parents who have experienced trauma and/or abuse. Danica has attended many births at multiple hospitals in mid-Missouri, including low-intervention, medicated, induced and surgical births. Following the birth of her second child, Danica began training as a Nona Childbirth Educator teaching mindfulness-based classes including the Full-Day Birth Intensive, the 4-Hour Birth Intensive, Postpartum Preparation and Cesarean Preparation and Care. Danica is also a trained Postpartum Doula and will be the first Nona Certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator. Danica is a Professional Member of the Evidence Based Birth community and continues to expand her training in specialized areas such as the infant microbiome, aromatherapy, optimal preconception and prenatal physical preparation, complex infant feeding support and more. When not attending births or spending time with family, Danica enjoys pursuing creative and artistic hobbies with a great big latte.
